Workshops and Events
All local classes will be held in beautiful coastal Rhode Island on location in and around historic Wickford Village (North Kingstown) and Jamestown Island, one of the main islands in scenic Narragansett Bay.
Much of this area is ideal for painting because of its rural, unspoiled charm, and its proximity to great and inspiring locations to paint such as coastal areas, 18th-century farms, colonial villages, lakes and wildlife to mention few.
Free parking is plentiful, as are terrific restaurants and facilities.
If you are not yet familiar with the area, I know that you will be truly inspired. Best of all (well, almost) compared to most places of artistic attraction, it's very affordable, with a great selection of lodgings at bed & breakfasts, inns, motels, etc.

General Guidlines:
On the first morning of a workshop a painting demonstration will be given, along with a brief talk about outdoor painting procedures, methods of learning, how to see and paint truer and beautiful color harmonies, brush work and the dynamics of composition. The forum will be open to questions and answers. I'll also touch upon setting short term goals for the week, and the best way to achieve them (keep things simple!).
Groups interested in workshops outside of the Rhode Island area are invited to contact me and discuss the possible arrangements for times and locations. I travel extensively throughout the country conducting five day workshops & demonstrations for various art organizations.
Saturday portrait classes are held indoors with a model from 9am to 12pm on six consecutive Saturdays. Wednesday morning classes are held locally. These classes are held indoors during the winter, and outdoors during the warmer months.
Beginner to advanced artists are welcome.
